Seasphere is presently working as educational consultants on a campaign to raise awareness about marine invasive species in the Seychelles with the IUCN and the Seychelles Centre for Marine Research and Technology (SCMRT-MPA).

This project is the final stage of a two year project to identify introduced species in the Seychelles, train specialists on how to detect and monitor these species and raise public awareness about the problems associated with marine invasive species, in particular the threat to the ecology and economy of the Seychelles, and identify possible management options.

The campaign includes a variety of informational activities for all members of the public, including presentations, media broadcasts, video, school competitions and educational material. Seasphere is working with the project partners to assess knowledge levels using surveys, design awareness material, direct video documentation and assist with organisation of activities and presentations.
